All right, today we're going to be talking about the possibility of fulfilled desires in the new year.

Does that sound too good to be true that your desires could be fulfilled in this new year?

Well, I am going to be bold enough as to say that is a promise from the God of heaven and earth, but it's not a promise like you think it is.

Most likely, let's look at Psalm chapter 37 verses 4 through 6.

Now, read carefully and listen carefully as you go through these passages because the Lord reveals very clearly what it means that our desires can be fulfilled.

See if you can catch it. It says trust in the Lord and do good.

Do well in the land and befriend faithfulness.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in Him and He will act.

He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your justice as the new day.

Now, did you catch it right there in the middle and verse number 4?

It says delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Now, this whole passage is very much an application of what we've talked about in the previous couple of morning mindset episodes.

We've made the observation based on Psalm 19 that when David set the Lord before Him as a constant sort of focus and a constant sort of mindset and heart set,

then all these benefits started accruing to David.

Well, these verses are applying that.
