This is the movement of the Holy Family, leading people to Jesus through friendship, good conversation, and the rosary.

Welcome to our rosary, Dr. Troy Hinkle, and I'm on this beautiful retreat here in Tiburrock Lake,

Missouri, with some awesome prayer warriors, and we are currently praying in front of our blessed Lord

exposed in the blessed sacrament. So we know we are ever in his presence, and so we call upon

him in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

There are so many battling cancer, Renee Garnett, Emily Sharp, Greg Wood, we pray for Deacon Steve White's continued health,

for Olivia Conelli and the Caneli family and all the petitions that have been sent in.

The title of our rosary is Saints Thomas More and John Fisher.

When I was at graduate school in the early 90s, my spiritual director often spoke of his friend, Thomas.

He spoke so eloquently and respectfully, I thought to myself,

wow, I'd like to meet this guy, Thomas. As it turns out, Thomas was Father Ed's patron saint,

St. Thomas More. St. Thomas More was an English husband and father of six children, a lawyer,

theologian, author, philosopher, statesman, and noted Renaissance humanist. He was the Lord

High Chancellor to King Henry I of England, the highest ranking officer in the government next to the king.

No one ever became a saint by what they accomplished, but rather by what they became virtuous.

Thomas More became a saint because he learned to love the lesser things less and love the greater

things more, for virtue is rightly ordered

love.

St. Thomas More embodied this heroic virtue, both supernatural courage and this kind of wisdom

so that he could prioritize.
