in gratitude and Thanksgiving, we've been praying for Deacon Steve White for some time and he got a heart

transplant today on Father's Day, I realize you're hearing this Father's Day plus one. But we're so grateful to the Lord. We want to pray for Steve that he continues to improve. I want to pray for dear friend Renee Garnett,

who definitely needs our prayers as she's fighting cancer,

for Greg Wood, who's fighting cancer as well,

and for Emily Sharp.

And for all of those who are battling serious diseases we want to lift up in prayer

and I want to pray for those who are expecting babies, especially my daughter-in-law

Rachel, who's bringing me Grand Baby Number One in October, so we prayed for her.

The theme for our Rosary tonight is Mercy, not justice, is the goal.

As Christians, we are called to go beyond the limits of strict justice.

For Jesus said, a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you.

This commandment of love means that I must do for others what is supernaturally good for them in order to truly live this command.

Since justice is giving others what we owe them, charity and mercy go beyond what we owe and seek,
