0:07.9	Today is December 14th, the Feast of St. John of the Cross,
0:13.4	who along with Teresa of Avila are the greatest masters of the spiritual life.
0:19.1	We have much to learn from John today. Let's begin in the name of the
0:24.1	Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for,
0:30.0	and let's join our rosary to the thousands of others that are praying with us, and especially offering for the 10,000
0:42.6	plus names that have been submitted to the prayer list as we band together in this army, united
0:49.5	to our queen to save the souls of our loved ones. We all want to get to heaven, but we've got it all
0:59.0	wrong. Heaven doesn't want to wait. At every moment, God is trying to break in and flood our soul
1:07.6	with the river of God's divine life now.
1:13.6	But we will not let him in.
1:16.6	We have blockages.
1:18.6	Pride, envy, sloth, anger, greed, gluttony, lust, anxiety, fear, gossip, complaining,
1:26.6	ingratitude, impatience.
1:29.8	But we're also attached in a disordered way to good things that we want or think we need more than God.
1:39.6	And the soul must be emptied of these to be filled by God.
1:45.5	Purgatory is for those who have not completely made room for God,
1:49.6	are not completely empty when they die.
1:53.0	Hell is for those who refuse to make room for God.
1:57.3	And heaven?
1:59.0	Heaven is for those who have made room.
