Welcome to our Rosemary Meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

It's called to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

We offer this rosary and all of our rosaries joined together.

For all of the loved ones submitted on our prayer intention list, for their deeper conversion,

and for all of their temporal needs.

Tomorrow is the feast of St. John of the Cross. His Feast Day always falls in Advent because

he died on December 14th. And the Church celebrates the day we are born into heaven.

But it is also appropriate that we always have John as a teacher during Advent

because he gives us the most important lesson to prepare for Christmas.

That lesson is this. God's immense blessings can only fit into a heart that is empty.

To a sister who was sad that she was asked by Teresa of Avala to leave the convent where she had many friends in Seville to start a new

convent in Cordoba, John writes this, the more he wants to give, the more he makes us desire, even to the point of leaving

us empty in order to fill us with goods. You will be repaid for the goods that you leave behind in

Seville, since the immense blessings of God can only enter and fit into an empty and solitary

heart.

The Lord wants you to be alone, for he truly loves you with the desire of being himself all your

company.

And you will have to strive carefully to be content only with his companionship.

So you might discover in it every happiness.

Even though the soul may be in heaven, it will not be happy if it does not conform its will to this.
