This is the movement of the Holy Family, leading people to Jesus through friendship, good conversation and the rosary. So welcome to our rosary meditation.

I am blessed this evening to be at the home of Robert and Rita Massey. We had some awesome ribs and great conversation. I stirred up the pot a little bit so always makes conversation better and now we're

praying the Rosary they've got their team together and it is the most important thing to do.

So let's begin in the name of the Father

and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those that we promised to pray for,

especially we continue to pray for Olivia Canili and

little Damien both suffering from seizures, and we pray, continue to pray for the recovery of

Deacon Steve White from his heart transplant and for all those that we've promised to pray for.

Now today is Sunday but it is also the feast of St. James, the brother of John, the apostle.

We get a great scene from the life of James and John in Matthew chapter 20.

Then the mother of James and John came with her sons to make a request of Jesus

and bowed low and he said to her what is it you want she said to him

promise that these two sons of mine may sit one at your right hand and the other at your left in your kingdom.

You do not know what you are asking, Jesus answered.

Can you drink the cup that I am going to drink?

They replied, we can.

Very well, he said, you shall drink my cup.

But as for the seats at my right hand and my left, these are not mine to grant.

They belong to those to whom they have been allotted by my father. And when the other ten heard this, they were indignant with the two brothers.
