Welcome to our rosary meditation.

Today is the Feast of St. Faustina, to whom Jesus revealed the image, the chaplet, and the diary of divine mercy, and to whom Jesus revealed his desire for the first Sunday after Easter to be Divine Mercy Sunday.

Now, Faustina is a very close friend of mine. Yes, she's dead, but actually she's more fully

alive because the saints are more alive in heaven.

And I've had the great privilege of being to her convent in Poland three times.

And Teresa the Great, my daughter, her middle name is actually Faustina. Now I say Faustina rather than Faustina because she spelled her name

with a Y rather than an I. And I can appreciate as a sure slick someone pronouncing my name correctly. So we celebrate the

great feast of St. Faustina today. So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and

the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for, especially

for Olivia Caneli, little

Damien, that Margot will wake up for the healing of this young woman, Sophie, who had a stroke,

for the thousands upon thousands of people who have been submitted to our prayer list.

Now, from 1925 until her death in 1938, Faustina lived in ordinary life as a religious sister,

and her jobs included that of a cook, a gardener, a doorkeeper.

Very ordinary, except for this. She lived in almost

continual, visual and verbal contact with the spiritual world. She could see and speak with

Jesus and Mary, angels, and demons, saints, and often souls in purgatory would come to her.

Now, Jesus ordered Faustina to keep a diary of all their conversations,

to help us to learn and to trust in the goodness of God and his mercy.

He called Faustina his secretary of mercy.
