Welcome to our Rosary Meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for,

praying for all of the names submitted to our prayer intention list,

the thousands upon thousands of names.

Then I guess it's important that we have thousands and thousands of people praying for

them. And we also offer this for a young man named Matt, who is having surgery for tongue

cancer today. Now, today we meditate on the life of Blessed Bartololongo, who shares a feast day with

St. Faustina, October 5th. My friends share many things in common. Now, St. John Paul

II called him the Apost apostle of the rosary.

Blessed Bartolo Longo was born on Italy's Adriatic coast in 1841.

At the age of 10, his mother died, and Martolo began to lose his way.

During his time in law school at the University of Naples, he completely gave up his faith. In his confusion and emptiness, without God to turn to, he began to turn to the satanic

occult. This thirst for the supernatural led him into outright Satanism, where after a period

of intense study and rigorous fasting, he was consecrated a satanic priest and promised his soul to a demon.

For the next year, he began to preside over satanic services

and to preach more and more boldly against God and the church. Under the demonic influence,

the physical and psychological health of Bartolo began to decline rapidly. In his despair, he heard the voice of

his deceased father urging him, return to God, return to God. Thankfully, a good friend and

faithful Catholic professor, Vincent Pepe, persuaded Bartolo to meet with a Dominican
