So let's maybe start by going back to your first book. And I think I was just going through this, just even in prep for this interview. And it's a very interesting kind of topical shifts

kind of throughout your career that I want to talk about in a bit. But why did you decide to write

your first book? Well, I was, I was a lawyer at the time. I was actually clerking for

Supreme Court Justice Sandra A. O'Connor. And I was going for a walk one day on Capitol Hill.

And I asked myself a rhetorical question. I was like, what am I interested in that everybody else in the world is interested in?

And I thought, well, power, money, fame, sex. And I was just like, power, money, fame, sex.
