What's going on everyone Kevin from Epic Gardening here? We're joined again by

Stacy Murphy of Grow Your Own Vegetables.org. She's helped tens of thousands of

people on six different continents grow vegetables and herbs.

It's funny, we kind of have a very similar bio, Stacy.

Yeah, I love your mission of helping 1 million people grow food.

I think that is just, it's going to be an amazing world when that

happens I think so and you know what there's a little secret I actually upped it to 10 yes

yes because I thought about it and I was like, if you really think, if I added up all the, you know,

YouTube and the website and everything, it's like I may have actually hit the 1 million

mark by now. So, you can never know for sure, I can't look at a million people's gardens, right?

But hopefully in some small way I've come close to that number, right?

So today we're going to be talking, like I mentioned yesterday, about one of my favorite urban small space crops and you

guys know what it is it's micro greens but I thought Stacy because both of us have a

lot of experience growing these we could kind of clear the air on some of the definitions because you've got

sprouts you've got shoots and you've got micro-greens and people think these are

all the same but they're kind of not so maybe you could give us just a quick

overview of these.

Sure yeah this is one of those things that I get a lot of questions about.

So sprouts are something that you have your seeds and essentially you're growing in water and so oftentimes sprouts are

grown in a jar on a counter it's super simple you don't need any growing space

you just need a kitchen counter and a little bit of water and the right seeds.

So with sprouts it's important. There's some health concerns because you're growing in just water.
