What's going on everyone? Welcome back to the show. Today we're going to be talking with

Ryan about what he does when spring is on the rise as well as when the gardening

season is over and he's getting ready for winter. And so these shoulder seasons, right at the edges of what you would call the normal growing season,

what is he thinking about?

In spring, when you know it's just about to be peak season and then in in winter and fall when

it's about to go into that dormant period in the garden so I figured this might be

informative for a lot of you who are growing in zones where Frost is a real problem,

not even so much a problem, it's just an unavoidable fact of life.

And you're thinking about, okay, well, how do I make the absolute most of what is admittedly a somewhat short growing season?

And so Ryan being in New York in Martha's Garden, that's something that he has to consider as well.

And not only does he have to consider it, he has to consider it on a very large scale.

And so let's just go ahead and cut right in to how he thinks about spring and winter prep in the garden.

What do you do when you're preparing,

well, let's say, when you're preparing

your whole garden, I guess, for the spring spring and then once the season's over

when you're winding it down what does it look like just from like a prep perspective

because I think a lot of people even in the home garden might not really be sure like what they're supposed to do once

spring starts to come and then once winter starts to come.

Are you talking more just about the vegetable garden and just about all the gardens here in general.

Let's go vegetable garden first and then maybe touch on all the gardens in general but

mostly the veggies. The veggies just because they kind of want to maximize it I
