Number one. California Governor Gavin Newsom accused President Donald Trump of a brazen abuse of power.

Protests against federal immigration raids are continuing in California.

Parts of downtown Los Angeles were put under a curfew overnight.

700 Marines and more than 2,000 National Guard members are on the ground in L.A. Even more have orders to deploy.
