Spotify is about to make the most significant change to its royalty model since it started in 2008.

So music business worldwide did this whole report on how they're changing up, how artists

are going to make money with the songs that they release.

So the change that's going to start in the beginning of 2024 will basically take

basically the entire catalog of Spotify's music, all the music on Spotify, you will have to have a song that is

played at least a thousand times or more annually. So the original model was you had to listen to a song for 30 seconds or more for you to be able to get any kind of royalty pay out.
