And we're grateful to be with you on this weekend, although it's cold and we're pre-filming

But I think we got a really good talk that you're going to enjoy, especially for the ladies who have men who are interested in sports and some ladies themselves.

But it's Super Bowl Sunday weekend.

And during this time, we see sometimes some craziness and maybe over idolization right of of a sport so what does the

church teach about sports and especially when it's on sunday um can that be sinful is it sinful

automatically or can it be or is it not? This is a fascinating

answer and we'll dig into what the church teaches, especially with the Super Bowl being tomorrow.

But that's not what this is all about. It's all about every day what the church teaches for athletes,

those who know athletes and love athletes, those who know athletes, and love athletes,

as well as ourselves, armchair athletes. So let us begin with a prayer in the name of the Father

and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Amen. Heavenly Father, we ask you send the Holy Spirit down

upon us to give us the gift of grace to open our hearts,

to receive it, and to give you thanks for the gift of leisure and recreation,

and that you give us in things like sports that they be used the right way.

And Mother Mary intercede for us that we always do it for the greater glory of God.
