The peak of the hobby was that like very tail end of the junk wax era when collector's

edge came in, when Pinnacle came in, when we had this competition between brands to create

cool stuff.

And it's nice doing it from home, too, until the dog start barking inevitably, which will happen during this episode.

Lately, we've been leaning more to the collector's

stories and like the back-to-back episodes with Chris. I said it last time. I think that first episode with him was maybe the best podcast episode I've done a long, long time. I really like that. I actually put out the call a little bit too, and we heard back from a few people,

we're going to have a few more of those. I don't know if it will be on this pod or if that becomes like the new spin-off YouTube, which we'll have some news about that, hopefully, too. I think we're going to do a revamp there, a studio build-out that whole nine yards. So I'm looking at a property today, actually, just to move everything over to. but in the meantime, I think that's going to become a bigger part of SCN content. Like I said, I'm not sure if it'll always be here, you know,

because the challenge you run into there, just some quick behind the curtain stuff, you know,

Chris is very well spoken. Obviously, super involved in the hobby, great story, but it's also,

he presents well, well spoken, has the setup. Not everybody has all that. but it's also he presents well well spoken has the

setup not everybody has all that so it's not always going to be a win but i do kind of like that

angle um and quite frankly i've just been bored with like the content people talking to other content

people um a lot of it's just the same crap like it just there's a lot of recycled garbage gets like this all, and we're guilty of this at times too, 10 times a year, you know, eight months out of the year, whatever it is. There's just no huge story. And so we get into, you know, just the regurgitating of, well, we hate fanatics for this, or we hate PSA, or this is the newest conspiracy that has no real legs and no useful information around it. And so that's kind that was kind of the motivation for the Chris thing. And I think going forward some of that as well, I don't know, just kind of a different angle. Like it's not the viral moment of like, you know, oh, this guy's we're going after him or this. I also haven't been super passionate to rant about anybody lately.

I just haven't, I've been kind of checked out of a lot of content, so I haven't had a lot of annoyances in my life in that regard, which has been kind of nice. Do you have a couple topics today. Like, we're going to have Jason and Gary on from the ball card show. I like those guys. they're super involved in the show circuit and like they've made the jump recently from

um real world and having jobs to doing the content and the buying, selling, flipping full time, almost similar to a Chris story. They've been doing a little longer and they already do content, which is really, really cool. They're also a little bit edgy, like in an intelligent way,

though. They don't say crap just to stir stuff up. I think they have some fairly hot takes. So we'll have them on the second half of the show, which I'm actually looking forward. I think we'll get some good pushback there. I did want to talk to you about just kind of some of my findings in ramping up the singles market lately, or not even the singles market. I'm being ramping up my single sales. Obviously, episode brought to you by eBay Live. I should have led with that. That has been the big inspiration for where I've been allocating my time too.
