So Halloween's coming up with all, you know, the haunted houses and the corn mazes and

hay rides and whatever, just like so many great opportunities

to be scared in a fun environment

where you know everything is fake and it's totally safe.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, totally.

But today I want to tell you a story where real horror crashes the fake horror party, you know?

So for this story, we're going to go back to the 1970s specifically to

December of 1976. Okay. So we're at this kind of like fun house in Long Beach, California on the

boardwalk. It's called a laugh in the dark, L A F in the dark.

Yes, I'm here. I'm very excited.

So just picture kind of like, you know, a little bit of a rundown fun house and there's like the

creepy organ music playing probably. But there's this television crew that's at this

fun house filming on location an episode of the six million dollar man which is

a popular show at the time. You know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, okay.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

So that sound is coming through on top of the Oregon music,

and they're like filming this episode.

And apparently as you walk through the fun house there's this one area where this wax figure
