Picture this. You're lying in bed at night trying to fall asleep. You hear a noise like

a humming sound hovering near you in the pitch dark. You reach for the lamp and switch

it on where you see a ball of light floating in mid-air. Is it an angel? A ghost? Your imagination?

Just what the heck is this thing? Suddenly and inexplicably, you fall back asleep, only

to experience nightmares, haunting images of your body being poked and prodded by unknown

beings. You awaken the morning feeling more tired than when you went to bed. But that's

life, right? Sometimes we have weird dreams, so you shrug it off and get on with your

day. But at work, you lose your focus as your mind is drawn back to that ball of light

in your bedroom. Were you asleep when you saw that? Was it connected to your nightmares

about those strange beings sticking you with needles? Has this happened to you before?

Suddenly your mind reels. Could this be connected to the UFO you saw as a kid? But you

shake your head. No, you assure yourself. Your frantic mind. You are not a weirdo UFO

believer. No tinfoil hat for me, no sir, no thank you. It was just a dream. Or was it?

abductions. The scenario we just described has happened to countless people, maybe even

to you. For example, there's the story of a simple banker who's been tormented by

nightly visitors most of her life. Tom Kaiser in the Baltimore Sun wrote about a woman

he named Leah, not her real name, who's had recurring nightmares of being alone in

a small, gray room where she hears of voice saying, don't move or you might be hurt.
