right now, but we're going to talk about the pilot of the West Wing as a

as a pilot itself but then the West Wing is a cultural phenomenon. I think a lot of us

are re-waiting into the pools of possibility and optimism politically and there is no warmer bath for that for those of us of a certain political persuasion

than the West Wing.

I think Amanda is beginning a rewatch.

We might do some other episodes around it.

But like for people of our-ish age, right? You guys are a little bit younger than I am, but it is a foundational

Civics document, I think, in a way that's kind of hard to explain, I think, to people that don't get it.

Yeah, I think that's true, and I came. of I think we were talking about this offline a not small percentage of the things that I understand about how American government works I understand like specifically because of the Westway.

Right. One of the pleasures of it is you learn a little something along the way, you know, and there are problems

with the West Wing, the pilot, you know, it is a 21- 21 year old document at this point in among liberalism and the left 20 it's been a very

important 20 years for how people on the left understand the world so I think that will be

interesting but also as an artistic document we look forward to it's something we all are

interested in it's not really bookish though a kind of maybe it's whatever we're

gonna do it because we want to what it's a bonus you don't want to listen to your dollars
