The news yesterday, our program director, Spike Eskin, leaving this job to go to WIP, to be,

that's our sister station in Philadelphia, sports talk radio, to be the afternoon drive host

with Ike Reese, former Eagle, and a guy named Jack Fritz, who I believe was producing the show,

sort of like a third voice type of deal.

And when we found out about this, obviously we were surprised.

He was only here for two and a half years.

So personally, I was disappointed about it because I really worked well with him and I really

liked him and the creativity and humor that he brought to these meetings and planning boomer

and geo live was unique to me because I had really never experienced that from a boss.

And I thought he was going to be here for a decade or more and that I'd be working with him

for a decade or more. So that was disappointing, obviously.

But you have to feel great for him because this is something that he wanted to do.

It opened up.

It was the right time.

His father had that shift for a very long time, so it means a lot to him.

And if you like a guy, as you say, if you really love somebody, you'll let him go.

But you know what I'm saying?

Yes.

Is that this is what he wanted to do.

And he didn't just leave us in the dust and not think about that.

I mean, it was a tough decision for him.

And I'll be listening and I'll be rooting for him and I'll always have his support.
