Hey everybody welcome to first run bald movies I'm your host a run and I'm Jim and today we saw

Spider-Man into the spiderverse this is something we're kind of doing new for 2019 if it does nothing

We're trying to do a movie every every week and if there's

nothing that's hot that's exciting for us this week that we think will be

interesting to watch we're going to either go back and see something we missed or

maybe something from way back

into this from the nostalgic files something from an 80s 90s or ats maybe it's the 60s

maybe we'll see a movie from the 30s silent silent the black and white era yeah no

so I saw one but yeah so there was like a piano Reeves limited release that's

embargoed critics critical reviews up until the release and

we're like nah as much as we like Mr Reeves we saw into the spiderverse this is the

second time I saw because I took my family to see it on

Christmas. What did you think, Jim? This is your first time. I mean I don't know how you

can come out of this movie not having had a good time.

It's like 95% enjoyable, even for me who is like somewhat

of a side-eyeing skeptic at these kind of comic book movies.

Right.

So yeah, I mean, if you have any affinity whatsoever for Spider-Man,

you're going to love this.

Yeah.

And I feel like there are 16 other layers to this thing that I just didn't get because I'm not a huge Spider-Man fan like I'm not steep in the lore of the comics you know and I felt like they were pulling a lot of stuff from there that I just didn't get but it all still worked for a Spider-Man newbie if that's what you would call me.

Yeah, I mean it's hard for me to say because I've, uh, you're Spider-Man and the X-Men work out of my jam growing up and on into my early adulthood.
