back this is our first television podcast of 2019 and we talked about something that came out very late in 2018 as it's

want to do Netflix's Black Mirror came back with but a single episode bandersnatch but it's not your typical

episode of television if you if you follow anything about television you probably

know what we're alluding to this is a choose your own adventure video game essentially that allows you to branch

between I think there was no more than two options maybe there's a third on one I only

ever remember two but maybe so at at

increments the film would probably would pause and you would be presented with options

at the decision and then the video would branch from there sometimes radically like

there are the this isn't the illusion of choosing there most of the choices you make have pretty radical changes to the way the story plays out.

I've heard that there's over five, maybe even low six hours of actual footage that you can generate. I

fucked with this for just under three hours on one cold winter afternoon during our break.

What was your experience like, Jim?

Yeah, I spent a couple hours just kind of

going back and forth in time and this film trying to see what it had to offer.

At some point I got to my eighth iteration of the same scene and I said I'm done with this.

Yeah, I think the thing definitely encouraged is like you can I think be done with your first

play through at about 30 minute the 30 minute mark.

Actually I know it's quick.

My first one I think was as soon as you possibly could yeah I will talk about that in a minute because I was about to say it's like I think Jim got this the speed run sub 20 minute first time.

And it encourages you because it almost felt like the first couple of times I got to the end,
