Coming from right here on our YouTube channel, I'm of course your host, John Campia, and

this is the show where we talk about the things that we love, those things that give us joy,

movies and movie news, TV and streaming and all sorts of good

stuff. And we're awfully glad that you're here to make this show part of your day. Joining us

Robert Meyer Burnett. Good afternoon at Surprise Day. And again, once again, thank you to you guys

for being here. You're the most important part of this show. Thanks a lot for making this little show a part of your day. And here's how our show's going to go. We're going to start off by talking about a number of topics we got lined up for you guys. Then in the second part of the show is the most important part where we take your live comments and questions. Starting with the comments and questions we didn't get to yesterday because we had to cut the show short. So we're going to start off with those and then take the ones that we

had come in today. All right. With all that down, guys, let's get things started here, shall we? And we're

going to start off with this. Again, the most important, biggest, most predominant thing, eating

up all the conversation time,

item going on in the world of movies and the industry right now is, of course, the upcoming

takeover of Warner Brothers Studios, whether that's going to be by Netflix or Paramount or

somebody else or, hey, maybe we'll get lucky and nobody gets it.

Cinema United right now is in Washington, I think in front of Congress, arguing that nobody should be allowed to buy Warner Brothers.

I kind of agree with them, but whatever, it looks like it's going to get taken over by somebody.

Now, we of course know that the winner of the bidding war for Warner Brothers was Netflix.

Warner Brothers just thought their deal was better.

Paramount has not given up, though.

They have time and time and time and time and time and time again,

gone back to try to sweeten the deal, even threatening a lawsuit at one point.
