Spider-Bites. That's right, those little creatures can bite you. Now the fact is, all of the ones we know that are medically relevant

So let's go ahead, sit back, relax, and talk about those eight-legged creatures and find out how you

can help your patients if they're bitten by one of them. They're on about 45,000 spiders worldwide and spiders themselves belong to a group of arthropods.

They're arachnids. they have four pairs of legs, or eight of them.

And we know that when people think of spiders,

they conjure up images of tarantulas and wolf spiders and fearsome creatures.

But spider bites themselves are actually a very rare medical event.

In fact, they usually only occur a handful of times, and the venom of most

spiders actually don't have too much effect. In addition, only a few species have the fangs powerful enough to penetrate human skin.

And of these spiders, those only bite humans in rare and extreme circumstances.

Therefore, most spiders don't pose a threat to humans.

So why do we have such a big fear of them?

Well, part of it is the fact that they're a bit scary looking.
