Hello, everyone. Welcome to the podcast. My name is Lauren, and I'm so glad that you are listening

today. I'm excited to be in Second Kings and just really encourage us with the character of some

of the men that we're going to talk about and also the care and concern

that the Lord has for us. But first, I want to tell you that we had a hard freeze go through the

panhandle of Florida. I live in Florida. I used to live in Colorado. I don't know where you're

joining me on this podcast journey. But this past week, we had a hard freeze a couple different times.

And so previously to the freeze freeze I went and harvested a

bunch of green bell peppers my husband stuck some bell pepper seeds from a pepper we got at the store

into the soil last year probably last spring and it took an entire almost year and they just popped up

everywhere and so I replanted them all

over our garden beds and they were given us peppers but they just stayed green they would take us too long to turn

red or yellow and to ripen so i just wasn't picking them which of course if you don't pick fruit then it

doesn't produce as much however this freeze was coming and I'm like green pepper. I'd

rather have a green pepper than no pepper. So I was picking all of these peppers and I brought them in

and even though I did cover our plants sadly, they did not make it. I didn't think they would. It

was like down to 23 degrees. Those things I put Christmas lights down. I was I was very hopeful, but it did not work. Anyway,

I bring these peppers in and five days later, I have four red peppers. I mean, they just transformed.

I had no idea that after you pick them, they could ripen on the counter. And so I'm so grateful that though the
