Hello, everyone. Welcome to the podcast. Today is a fun episode because a couple years ago,

during January, I did Lauren's favorite things because it's my birthday month

and it was just fun to talk about some of the things that I was enjoying and I thought I'd do it

again because there are a couple things I want to tell you about from just personal life moments

to resources that have blessed our family and I want to pass them on to you.

Plus, my kids pop in and talk about why one of my favorite things is one of their favorite things.

So I always joke about how January is like the most depressing month to have a birthday in because

everybody's on a diet. They've just spent two months eating cheese and bread and pie and everybody's,

you know, on their new fitness plan and drinking water and doing all sorts of silly things

to fit in pants again. Like we need pants. I'm just

kidding. Those are important. And then everybody, you know, was on a strict budget because they just

had Christmas and Thanksgiving and travel. So everybody is very budget conscious. And then

it's cold and dark and it's winter. So happy birthday January babies,

but maybe it's the best time to have a birthday. This year, my kids made a beach scene downstairs

with blankets and my husband found like an ocean channel and it was just, and then he brought

out a little portable heater and had it turned on. So it was just he and then he brought out a little portable heater

and had it turned on so it was like heat filling the room and it was just delightful and I fell

asleep and it was one of my favorite birthdays and not only that when I woke up we went out to
