In 1517, Martin Luther nailed 95 theses on a church door in Wittenberg, Germany on October 31st.

We credit this event as a catalyst to a reformation of getting the church back to the scripture,

being the full authority for faith and practice, and that salvation is by grace alone,

through faith alone, through Christ alone.

Today I'm going to share a bit about the Reformation, but also about some pre-reformers.

October 31st and 1517, Martin Luther nailed 95 Theses on a church door in Vittenberg, which

marks the start of the Reformation. The Reformation is kind of incredible because it happened in a time

where there was not instant communication. It wasn't like Luther

could email somebody over in Switzerland and somebody over in France and be like, hey guys,

we're on this page of this book and we're going to do this thing. No, I mean, this is pre-internet days,

pre-easy accessible travel, and yet similar things were happening all over

Europe. Each country has stories of faithful men and women who are courageous and faithful to

help bring about reform in the church by returning to the authority of scriptures and what God

says about how a person is saved and how that person should live for
