Today we are talking about the spiritual work of gratitude and a little first Thanksgiving history.

me on the podcast today. It's always humbling to know that people are tuning in and listening

to the Sheproos Faithful podcast. So thank you. I don't take

that for granted. I'm very grateful for that. Speaking of gratitude, that's what we're talking about

today, how it's our spiritual act of worship, how we are called to do it by God. It's God's God's

will for us. It literally says it's God's will for us in the Bible that we would give him thanks in

all circumstances. Praise the Lord, we're going to get there. And also, I have to give a little

Thanksgiving history. So we'll talk about that in the end and how God really weave together

a story of providence and helped out a whole entire nation, America.

So I'm excited for today.

We hosted our little Thanksgiving dinner last week. It's kind of like a friend's giving.

And every year we have this, we've been doing it for six years. And the first year, I was still working.

And I lived in an apartment with my husband. And I didn't have time to cook a turkey. I didn't

know how to defrost one.
