So with that said, let's go ahead and pray for the blessing on our teaching tonight.

Loving Heavenly Father, I want to thank you for allowing us to once again assemble in peace

and to hear your word, your teaching.

Lord, I pray that you would just remove any and all distractions and allow us to hear your word so that we can learn from your word and be better stewards of your word.

And we thank you, Lord, for that which you are about to do for your people. In the

mighty name of Yeshua, Jesus, the Christ, we pray. Amen. All right. So, tonight, our Bible studies is going to be

on the topic of biblical angels.

And before we get into our study, it's really important that we actually get our minds and our mindset ready to allow the scriptures to speak for themselves.

And the reason I say this is because within our

culture, we have allowed a fairy tale type of picture of angels to become the dominant view.

Many people believe it. Many people in the church. Our view of angels have been so polluted with all kinds of imagery, in my opinion, and we'll see some of that.

But it takes away from the majestic nature of God. Who created them. They're created beings. And to be frank, it really makes us

look ignorant as Christians. Truthfully, I'm included in that. It really does. And that ignorance is universal. For most of my life,

my view of angels were pretty much, I believe, like everyone else's. Because it's funny how

more people believe in angels than they do in God.

Because we could fantasize it, if you will.

We can just make it whatever we want because it satisfies our emotions.

And you can see these paintings and these pictures.

And you're like, oh, yes, that's my

angel. But when we look at the scriptures, we see that these views are wrong in most, if not all

cases. So tonight, with the Lord's blessing, what we're going to do is we're going to discuss what angels are according to the scriptures and also what they are not in some detail.

And then we're going to look how God views them, then examine some of their names in various roles in the hopes of seeing why this is important for us to know.
