For today's prophecy update, I want to talk about what I would argue the U.S. midterm election results were actually about.

This as even now, important races are being contested and votes recounted in Florida, Georgia, and also in Arizona.

However, before we get there, I want to first mention a couple of things, the first of which is, as many of you know, today is not only Veterans Day, it's also the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War I.

And every year at this time, we take the time to honor our military.

And I'm hoping you'll kindly indulge me as I share an email I received from an online member

who is currently deployed in Afghanistan.

He writes, Dear Pastor J.D., I have been an overseas follower of your

preaching for several years now. I met you when I was stationed at MCBH in 2012 after my chief

introduced me to you and your wonderful congregation. I study eschatology, pardon me, and apologetics

and your teachings have been a great resource for me, and I so appreciate how the Lord works for you.

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan, and I have been here for what feels like in eternity.

Come this January, after 15 months, I will return home to California to be with my family

and meet for the first time, my second-born daughter.

I wanted to share this because he also included an attachment of a paper he wrote

concerning the serving in the military and the profound sacrifice that's made on the part of those

who do serve. And that's really why I wanted to share this.

But I think you would agree that it's not hyperbole to say that we owe a tremendous debt of

gratitude to those who have served and those who are today serving.

And so what I want to do at this time is have everyone who has served

would you please stand so that we can thank you and honor you and pray for you.
