I have said since the beginning of this show that Trump is a dangerous cult leader whose only goal was amassing of power and the acquiescence and total fealty of those who serve him. At first, it was

the servitude of those who directly surrounded Trump. Soon, it became the entire Republican Party

who would do just about fucking anything to stay in the deal leader's good graces. And Trump could

do anything, probably even shoot someone in the face, and these fucking

GOP sycophants would look the other way.

It is really troubling to see the Republican Party turn themselves into a cult and, you know,

basically pledge allegiance not to the United States of America, but to Donald Trump.

Whether it was praising white supremacists, siding with Vladimir Putin, or suggesting bleach as a coronavirus cure,

there was nothing Trump could do to make his Republican brethren walk away.

We have a Republican Party that is now an autocratic cult around Donald Trump.

It is not interested in governing.

It's not interested in even maintaining the solvency and the creditworthiness of the country.

Then came January 6th, and for a brief moment, it seemed that that was no longer true.

Today all I can say is, count me out, said Lindsay Graham, standing in a Senate chamber that just hours earlier had been overrun by a pro-Trump mob determined to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
