And he's written a lot of books.

And he's got a lot of interesting views on a lot of things.

This book is called The Pressures Off.

And I really liked it.

And my first question with him was, does he think that there's kind of

a cultural moment now where people are open to this kind of thing. What he says here is really

wonderful. I think my personal editorial opinion representing no one else, I think he's he's accurate

in what he says and the pressure's off about about just good God is and the new way, as he puts it.

But I wondered, does he feel like people are more open to talking about this now?

Because I feel like they are.

Oh, I think so.

I think that there's maybe particularly among the younger group, maybe some older folks, too, like me.

I just turned 68 a couple days ago.

Wow.

And I've been a Christian for 60 years. Wow. And I think I'm coming to realize that life just doesn't work the way I thought it was supposed to, according to Christian teaching. I think a lot of people sense that deep down. Exactly. But they don't have the, I don't know what to call it, the flexibility emotionally or something
