I got an email from a friend. Don't know exactly what to tell him.

Got some ideas, but here is this situation. He's married and he's younger than me. and they have kids and stuff but his father-in-law

is just being a jerk and my friend puts things the best he can he's just genuinely asking

for input on something he's not going off on his father-in-law or anything like that but just like

man they they he says these mean things.

He's incredibly mean. He won't apologize for stuff.

We keep apologizing for everything we possibly can.

We actually are like, you know, help us God to be charitable towards this guy.

But he's just mean.

And so he won't apologize. It's just weird because you've got this thing that's still between you.

So that's his father-in-law. They live quite a ways away, but, you know, they're related.

So he was just kind of like, hey advice and I'm like hey I don't have

I'm like hey I don't have a whole lot but I had a couple things I was thinking about but I was wondering

if you're in that situation you've got any insight on that I'd like to hear it because you

know the one thing I was thinking about telling us you can't control other people. You just can't. It's as much as people dig in their heels and stick to their no, I'm in the right here, no matter what. No matter if everyone else is no, you're not. No, you, it doesn't matter. You just cannot control people.

And yet he's family.

So you got to interact. You don't want to just write people off forever. Anyway, your take on that is welcome. If you have one. I know this is common for a lot of people in families. Now, for you, your husband has to deal with this. when he's together with your father-in-law,

because they don't get along,

what do they talk about and stuff?

How does your husband has to deal with this. When he's together with your father-in-law, because they don't get along, what do they talk about stuff? How does your husband handle that? He tries to talk about other stuff, and you know, and sometimes when, you know, he does get offended, he'll try to say in a polite way, you know, that just needs to stop. And, you know, sometimes my dad won't appreciate it but I mean, you can't let people walk all over you. Do you guys live nearby? We do. Okay. That makes it more

complex. Yeah. But honestly, in truth, I mean, my father is a dislooker character. And I mean,
