Yeah.

And I thought you might be the one who tries to explain that to us.

So black Christians are very Christian.

My father is a black Christian man.

And that is, if he will say anything about himself, he is a Christian.

And it is complicated because, like, in the way the movie talks about it, like, why are we following a religion that was used to oppress?

And, you know, this movie's set in the 30s, so it's even closer to slavery.

But we're not that far removed from it time-wise.

I looked it up.
