All right, Derek, let's just jump in.

I mean, the biggest news of the week,

and this is a fairly big story,

is that Trump made a peace proposal,

which has totally flopped. He is in his flop era, Derek. What happened?

Yeah, I mean, it was a peace proposal of sorts. This was kind of a roller coaster ride

over the weekend.

On Friday, Trump popped off on social media about winding down the war. And this seemed like at the time a basically spiteful commentary on the fact that the rest of the world hasn't solved his straight-of-Gormuz problem for him.

And, you know, he's been complaining that other countries rely on the strait for their energy needs and other, you know, rely on that particular channel for various economic needs.

And the U.S. really doesn't to a significant extent.

And so he might just walk away from all of this and let those countries deal with it themselves.

That's what it seemed like in the moment, at least to me, on Friday.
