podcast for quite some time. We couldn't get Tariqo, so we went with Clark Lee.

Notre Dame's defensive coordinator and joined, as always, by Matt Fortuna. Clark, first off,

thanks for making some time for joining us. And then just to get right into it, what has it been

like to try to reconstruct, rebuild, put back together

a defense from a distance for essentially the last three months and deal with all the

uncertainty that has come with that?

Well, I think it's, well, first of all, let me say I'm honored to be on this all-ball

podcast.

I didn't put that together, but I realized that's the common thread here.

And next time, maybe we can go with Tariko and make it four.

I think that would be pretty special, too.

No, I think the beauty of where we are right now is that it's not about putting it back together.

You know, I think, you know, we have a, we have a, you know, depth of experience here.

We have, you know, obviously conscientious players, but they've been a part of this system. They, they know what we're about, you know, what our DNA is.

And, yeah, I think if anything, you know, in some ways it strengthened our, our connectivity

being separate.

I know that sounds a little weird, but, you know, we really had to manufacture ways to

make sure we were staying connected and a lot of digital interaction and, you know, full trust and confidence that
