And this is Beth Silverson, where we're looking for a special edition of Pantsew Politics

to talk about the reaction to Kentucky's stunning election night on Tuesday.

I was not going to make it until we record on Tuesday. I just wasn't going to make it.

I have too much too many of the things to say.

Well, get started for us, Sarah. I know that you've been holding this in.

Well, I think what's bothering me about this election, and really this bothers me about

election analysis generally, is I feel like everyone wants to make it bigger than it is.

It's about, you know, these huge cultural changes and massive societal shifts.

Or Jack Conway ran a bad campaign, and that's what happened. I don't know. I just feel like

people are making this the end of the world, or some massive change in Kentucky politics.

And I refuse to believe that anything is a massive shift in Kentucky culture,

when only like three people voted.

Well, I think it's significant to have a Republican governor in Kentucky,

because that doesn't happen often. So it's significant. But yeah,

it's not end of days. If you read Twitter or Facebook Tuesday night after the election was called,

you would literally think that the state was going to, I don't know, crumble.

But succeed or all manner of things.

Which I get that Matt Bevin is a tea party Republican. Not my flavor of Republican, right?

But he is not so extreme that we're all going to die.
