businesses. I'm Matt Burns and I have a confession to make. I've never raised capital

for a startup. I've worked at Tech Runch since 2008 and I'm not an entrepreneur. I don't have what it takes. But today's topic is raising a series A and so that's why you should listen to Jenny LaCord and Giam DeZerik and on today's show together.

Now they're going to walk us through the different steps on what it takes to raise a series

a. And we're talking about the difference between a seed stage and a series A and what documents are needed for both and how to manage investor expectations and raising both rounds.

Now, I've raised a capital, but I can still do math and between the two of them they've raised over 300 million dollars and that's a whole lot so they know what it takes to get an investor to sign a check.
