The So Cliff, after our last conversation you gave me a call because you said you wanted to clarify a few things.

So you sent me a word document outlining some points you wanted to talk about. So why don't we just go down that document?

Right. I'm ready to go, Cody. All right, let's do it.

So the first I want to say is that, and I have worked on this, continue to work on this,

if anything, both the interview that I gave you in the podcast just, you know, most recently, and the

Alaska Common Ground presentations that Tadd Kitney, the director of legislative finance for the state of Alaska,

and myself gave to the Alaska Common Grounding at a meeting in early May that are available on the internet.

If anything, all the stuff that people thought was super pressing Cody,

I'm coming to believe is insufficiently grim. That's the problem in terms of the fiscal and economic challenges of Alaska faces.

You and I went over the economic challenges at some length and we've had some additional bad news, not entirely unexpected. some additional bad

reports of bookings and cancellations and even more expected problems in the tourism industry in Alaska this

upcoming summer, that's a summer season for tourism in our state.

Additionally, the commercial fishing history has been hit

by the actual threat of COVID-19

is appeared, and that is going to make it harder to supply the seafood and make the commercial fishing

the season go here in Alaska.

And there have been additional cutbacks on oil since we talked and then that's just that's

on the economic side which it leads over to the fiscal side.

The fiscal side is particularly difficult because the state of Alaska, and I just did some

more calculations yesterday, looking at Alaska, legislative finance division projections

in Alaska, Department of Revenue Projections.

State Alaska has an annual structural deficit.
