Hello and welcome to the first of three very special episodes of George Ezra and Friends.

My name is George Ezra, I will be your host and this is George Ezra and Friends starting

out.

So if you haven't come across the podcast before we've got a back catalogue of 24 episodes

you can dip into at your own leisure but I've learnt so much throughout those conversations

with 24 incredible musicians and artists that now felt like a good time to share some

of that with you all in a handy compilation style.

So what we've done is compiled stories and tales or tips and tricks of the same subject

into three separate episodes.

Just ahead of them might be some swearing in this episode but there you go, I've let

you know I don't know what you can do with that information they might just be some swearing.

Now to start things off what I'd like to start by saying naturally is I know that one

direction didn't exactly have the typical start in music, you know, bam, worldwide fame

straight away, you know and that's a bizarre and scary thing to get your head around I

imagine.

But the point of this episode I hope is showing that there is no one guaranteed route to success

and of course success will be measured differently by each of us.

But from loving what you do and being determined to keep going, you know there's a whole lot

more that goes into that word success isn't there.

And I found all of these tales inspiring which is why I wanted to start with Nile Horan

who's had two starts in music from 1D you know and his time in the band and then of course
