Hello and welcome to a special announcement on Mormon Stories podcast.

I'm your host John Delin and I'm here with three awesome people and Pepper, Mitch Maine and Christian Wallen.

And we're here to announce a Circling the Wagon's event that's coming up in one week, one week from today in San Francisco.

And the Circling the Wagon's event is one that we've been holding in several places.

We've had one in Salt Lake City, we've had one in Washington, DC.

And this is our third, right Ann?

That's correct.

And my understanding is that Circling the Wagon's events are just to provide an open forum for Mormons and non-Mormons and people of all types to discuss issues surrounding Saint-Six attraction, our gay lesbian bisexual brothers and sisters.

It's usually a day long, sometimes it spans a couple days.

We have speakers, we have people sharing their stories.

And it's a great social event, but it's also a great time for us to get to understand better these difficult issues, to talk about them with each other.

And to learn to create more spaces of support, love, and comfort for our LGBT Mormon brothers and sisters both in and out of the church.

So I think the first thing that it makes sense to do is just to give a little bit of the details about this actual event.

So we have a couple things going on this weekend.

It actually starts on Friday evening, August 10th, from 6.30 to 8.30 pm.

We're having a social that's being hosted for us by the University of San Francisco by their LGBT students' initiatives.

And you can find that information on the website.

But what is really cool about this and just to give a little broader context, John, is we've actually reached out to our interfaith fellows here in San Francisco to get them involved as well.

So you're going to be hearing from some Mormons and obviously the interaction with the University here, which is a Jesuit University in their LGBT student union.
