Christ's command to his followers before his ascension to heaven was for them to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, all Judea, in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

Our Lord did not intend for the good news of his death and resurrection to stay local, but

instead it was to be taken globally.

In this third section of Acts, the adventure continues as the gospel is taken to the ends

of the earth.

Let's join Scott Pauli now for today's study.

Did you know that there's a battle on today? An actual war is taking place at this moment,

and if you're a Christian, you're right in the middle of it. It is spiritual warfare.

It is a battle between light and darkness. It has never changed. In fact, it's intensified in our

generation because the end of the war is coming very soon. This is not the time to back up. This is not

the time to surrender. This is not the time to sit down. This is the time to press

the battle. This is our moment to fight the good fight of faith, to endure hardness as good

soldiers of Jesus Christ. Paul knew something about that because as he began his missionary

journeys advancing the gospel, immediately he met opposition.

You know, anytime something is moving forward, there's friction.

And I'm going to tell you, when you start moving forward with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ,

just count on it, the devil is going to push back against that.

An unbelieving world is going to push back against that. An unbelieving world is going to push back against that.

Wicked flesh is going to push back against that because Satan is trying to stop what the

Lord Jesus is seeking to accomplish in this world.

So we pick up our place today in Acts chapter number 14 with,
