Christ's command to his followers before his ascension to heaven was for them to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, all Judea, in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

Our Lord did not intend for the good news of his death and resurrection to stay local, but

instead it was to be taken globally.

In this third section of Acts, the adventure continues as the gospel is taken to the ends

of the earth.

Let's join Scott Pauli now for today's study.

One of the great dangers when God is working is men start taking credit for it. And I want

you to know the moment that happens, the moment we rob god of his worthiness his glory the blessing is

removed because the bible says that god will not share his glory with any other so here we are in

acts chapter number 14 and paul and barnabas are being greatly used of the lord and in the midst of their

ministry there is this tendency of secular-minded people,

people who are not spiritual people, to begin to give credit to these preachers. And what do they do?

Like every faithful messenger, they said, no, absolutely not. This is not about us. This is all about our great God.

And let me read the story to you today, beginning in Acts chapter 14 in verse number

8.

The Bible says, and there sat a certain man at Listra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple

from his mother's womb who never had walked.

The same heard Paul speak,

who steadfastly beholding him and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud

voice, stand upright on thy feet, and he leaped and walked. So here's part one of this story. First,
