I'm Josh Romanoch, I like my sobriety date is July 3, 2010, this is my home group and I have

a sponsor and a sponsor so I'll get that out of the way and I don't really want to do this

So this has been my home group for about four years now and I've done the 15 minute speaker

like several times and never really felt like I got to let my wings spread and really

let you know all the deep, awesome things that I have to say and the wisdom that I have

just bestowed upon you so we'll see how this works out, I haven't really thought about

it much though so I was born, that doesn't matter whatever I did not grow up in an alcoholic

household and I always feel like it's important to say that because I don't think that it is

a prerequisite to be an alcoholic and a member of this program, many people did grow up

in an alcoholic household and that obviously has a drastic impact upon your relationship

with alcohol growing up but I grew up in a house with two very highly functional loving

parents that gave me everything that I needed and I never for a moment ever questioned

whether I was loved or supported or anything like that and I still ended up in these rooms.

So you know and that's not to say that I didn't have some challenges growing up I would

say that the primary thing kind of that maybe made our family unique growing up as I had

an older brother who was three years older that was born with a like a rare digestive system
