Summary

Two callers this week believe their problems are in their current situations – one who is a self-proclaimed people pleaser, and the other, a returning caller who can’t seem to make progress in fixing her life. However, Iyanla notices that they’re both dealing with scattered thoughts. Both callers have been traumatized and must ask for the help they need to heal.

I am Yamla your host for this journey. I was a hopeless love a

hollic but just could not get my love to work. Then after a series of heartbreaks and deep heartache, I finally got clear

0:17.7

about what love is and what it is not. I want to share some of what I've learned about lover holism.

Welcome to the R spot, a production of Shandaland audio in partnership with I Heart Radio. You know sometimes I wake up in the morning and I feel absolutely empowered. I feel divine and blissful and I think that I am the next best thing to melted butter on a pancake. And then other days I wake up and I am truly

1:11.2

the wretched of the earth.

1:14.0

I can remember every mistake that I've made every poor decision.

1:19.0

I look out into the world and I see road kill and I think that's my fault.

1:25.0

The rising costs of gas, that's my fault.

1:30.0

Somebody's kid lost their tooth on the playground everything is my fault. I don't think I'm alone in this

1:37.1

experience but here's the distinction on those days that I'm down on myself, beating up on myself, forgetting about all the glorious work that I've done to heal myself, on those days when I feel like I've totally missed the mark and I need to

1:58.0

go back and start all over. Rather than accepting that to be the truth, I observe it.

2:05.0

And I say, wow, I wonder where that's coming from.

2:10.0

Oh, my goodness, look at what's up for me today. But I'm also aware that there are many of us who have those bad days and get stuck in them.

2:21.0

Get stuck in what we haven't done, what we can't do, what we don't do, and we use that as a bat

2:29.7

to beat ourselves down.

2:31.8

So if you're one of those people that are stuck in a bad day

2:34.7

that has been going on for 16 years, I want to say this. You can only solve the

2:41.4

problem from the level from what you're looking at. If you're down on

2:47.8

yourself, down in the sub sub sub-sub-basement, looking at at yourself you can only solve the problem from the sub-sub-basement.

2:56.0

If you're in you know the dungeon of your life looking at yourself you can only solve the problem from the

3:05.5

dungeon and what many of us don't understand is those days when you're down there it's simply because there's something coming up

3:16.7

that you're ready to heal now you don't have to heal it by yourself you don't have to heal it by yourself. You don't have to heal it on your own. You don't even have to know what it is.
