Will is the founder, co-owner, and lead designer for SparkR&D, which is a manufacturer of

splitboard bindings and splitboard accessories based in Bozeman, Montana.

And it's kind of wild. I had a fantastic conversation with Will back in 2018. My How the Time Flies. And we actually published that

Gear 30 podcast as two episodes. I really encourage you to go back and check that conversation out.

We'll put a link to both of those episodes and the show notes to this episode because we'll

drop some fantastic knowledge about what it is and what it's like to start a company,

a company that does anything or everything.

So there were lots of nuggets of wisdom in that conversation.

And then it's also going to be really interesting to kind of compare what Will was talking about then in terms of the state of the splitboard world and what Will is kind of seeing and

talking about now in splitboarding. The other thing we do in this conversation is tease out

some of the similarities and some of the differences between the ski touring world and the

splitboard touring world and communities.

Of course, we also talk about some of the latest developments at Spark R&D and some of the

latest products, and Will is really good at talking about all of it.
