Welcome to the podcast on the day after the night before,

the night before being the World Cup final,

which is fair to say, John, was a little bit of a disappointment.

Most finals are, though, aren't they?

It's all the run-up stuff is the best stuff.

Finals always tend to over-promise and under-del deliver. And it did last night. Completely now. As you know, dear listeners, my heart was with Argentina. John and I off air, I've been having this discussion. Actually, for the last three weeks, I've always said Argentina are a great team. Yeah, there's a bit of dogs, a bit of a niggle, but you know what? They're grateful for it. But last night, I think. Yeah, they were rabbit dogs last night. They were just guriers. They just, they disgrace themselves. And it's such a shame because they have so much talent. They play with such, when they play and when they play properly, those little passes and obviously get messy, but they're like McAllister, a lot of brilliant, brilliant players. But last night, they just couldn't do anything except foul the Spaniards. And Spain were imperious. And Spain, I mean, yeah, Spain were great.
