I on Boca Chica. Starlings being launched by SpaceX, routine business, sort of very much like somebody parked a car. However, in this instance after the

launch the first stage failed in some important fashion. Bob a very good evening to

you. SpaceX failure is news because it never happens.

What did happen?

Yes, this was a launch of 21 stalling satellites

after earlier this week. It lifted off from Cape Canaveral in the

early morning hours, put the satellites into orbit as planned. The first days was on

its 23rd flight, which would have been a record for Falcon 9's The first

stage was a record for Falcon 9 first stages.

It was a record launch, and it actually is a record launch.

It successfully did its job,

got the satellites into orbit.

However, when it was doing its routine descent and

landing on the drone ship in the Atlantic, it landed successfully, softly, on its

legs and then tipped over. The video has it tilting away from the camera

on the bar on the drone ship and so we don't know what happened on the other side

at least from this video.

It could have been either the leg collapsed after landing or it buckled during landing.

It's not clear. maybe something else happened maybe that

...
