Summary

Tonight’s guest, Celena Garrett Dunn, used to roll her eyes at anyone she heard claim they had seen a Sasquatch. She though the idea that Sasquatch could actually be out there was ridiculous. She experienced a huge paradigm shift early one morning, however, when she went to serve court documents to a defendant who lived just outside of Piedmont, Alabama. What happened to her that morning was so profound, you could say it changed the course of her life. 0:08.0	It's located near Attala, Alabama, near Anniston, about an hour from Birmingham, Alabama.
0:16.0	That's a big city around me.
0:19.0	I have grown up in a small town one minute away from Gadsden throughout my whole life.
0:25.4	I've lived in a little town called Glencoe, Alabama, and just a small town where everyone's
0:32.4	there for one another.
0:34.1	Everybody knows one another, and it's just a really sweet small town. And so I started out
0:42.5	soon as I finished school, just, you know, going into home health and things like that, where I took
0:51.3	care of people in their homes, retirement homes, things like that.
0:56.8	And my sister had a restaurant, and I would help her cook and, you know, do deliveries for
1:04.1	the restaurant.
1:04.8	And I was taking care of a little lady.
1:09.9	It was the sheriff of Marshall County Sheriff, Sheriff's Department.
1:14.7	It was his mother-in-law.
1:16.7	And one evening, he came to see his mother-in-law.
1:21.4	And he said, Selena, I hope it's okay that I ask you this question.
1:26.5	He said, but I was wondering if you would come to work for me at my front desk at the Sheriff's Department.
1:35.4	He said, you just have the sweetest disposition and the sweetest personality.
1:41.4	And I just want you to try out the front desk at my
1:45.3	sheriff's department so that you can deal with the public because you have just
1:49.6	the personality to do that and I made a very big shocked it just shocked me because I
1:57.6	had never been around you know any kind of jails or police departments or anything like that.
