All right. Hello, everyone, and welcome back to making the argument. We have a very interesting

0:03.5

episode today because we've got an interesting guest for you. And the thing that we're going to be

0:08.3

discussing is what is actually going on in South Africa. And more specifically, we're going to ask,

0:14.3

why should Americans care about it? Because let's face it, Americans right now are a little bit

0:18.5

fed up with the rest of the world. We kind of feel as if the federal government has gotten us involved in all kinds of things that we feel are

0:25.3

really not any of our business. But that doesn't mean these things that happen outside of our

0:30.2

borders don't impact us. It doesn't mean that it doesn't impact things that are important to us,

0:35.5

strategically, economically, and socially, not to mention

0:38.2

the fact that let's just be honest, we have some organizations operating out there in the world,

0:43.1

where even if it's not our direct responsibility to intervene, that doesn't mean we shouldn't

0:48.5

take a side in who we want to win. It doesn't mean that some of these organizations or some of

0:53.1

these ideologies are being motivated

0:55.9

by the same people, the same financiers, the same, well, just motivations in general of things that are

1:01.5

attacking the United States and really the West in general. And today I have someone to speak about

1:06.8

this very, very specifically, and that is Rob Hersov. Rob, thank you very much for joining us

1:11.7

today. Nick, great to be here. I'm in sunny Cape Town, Paradise on Earth. Well, first things first,

1:18.8

because I feel like we have to address this right off the bat. I've always been somewhat fascinated

1:23.7

by South African history in part because of reading about the colonization of Africa

1:29.1

and England's presence here and the Boer Wars and the Dutch presence in South Africa.

1:34.5

It really is a rich, fascinating history, also a very, very controversial one.

1:40.5

So can you tell us right off the bat, why should the average American that is, you know, feels like we got enough domestic problems to worry about what's going on in the rest of the world?

1:49.4

Why should we be concerned about what's going on in South Africa?
