Welcome back to Lenton Rouge Cycling Podcasts for the preview of Sudar QuickSept 2026 season.

We'll review their 2025 year, a team in transition who tried to become a GC team, did it for a while,

still were keen on sticking to their roots in the classics, but that fell away and now they've

completely flipped back the other way. We'll talk about that transition and of course the

departure of Renco-Avenipal, what that means for the team. But first of all, yeah, how their

20-25 season actually was, a team which, because it's so long-standing, because the sponsors

aren't changing, because maybe they

develop their own talent, there's not so much fanfare around them, but what does the actual

raw results this year say, Benji?

Well, actually, I'd like to go back two years, which I usually don't do in these team

previews. And I like to think about 2023 first where they had 55 victories but then last year

34 victories where it looked like Remko's focus on the Tour de France in 2024 maybe potentially

negatively impacted the overall victories of the team a little bit in 2024 or perhaps some

other reasons along the way as well.

But that definitely wasn't the year where they won the most races they've ever done,

2024. Of those 34 last year, it was 13 world or victories. So also not the craziest number

I've ever seen in the history of Sudolk, Quickstep. But then I go towards this year, 2025.

And we've got 2023 numbers again, 54 victories in total, 19 world tour victories, sure, there's quite a few wins

in there like the Paul Manier Guangji wins, etc., the Paul Manier Slovakia wins, but at the end of the

day, a lot of teams would be very happy with 54 victories at the end of the season.

Now, going in-depthly, Patrick, into each category of races they've done all year,

I think it's fair to say that their classics were not exactly the biggest part of their season.
